While the news of Theo’s engraftment was wonderful, his body is struggling to recover from the transplant process. One Sunday night, he was intubated because his lungs couldn’t keep up and his oxygen levels were not in safe ranges. He is also currently fluid overloaded and has not responded to diuretics as hoped, so we are moving to dialysis. In a baby, dialysis requires a small procedure to place the line, which will happen this afternoon. We are hopeful that being able to control his fluid levels will turn the tide and get him back on the road to recovery.
Please continue to pray for Teddy as we help him through this difficult time.
